About draught and air leakage testing
Measure the leaks, don’t guess them.
During a blower door test, a powerful fan is fitted to an outside door to pull air out of the house. That draws outside air in through every gap, which makes leaks easier to find and lets the specialist measure how airtight the home is.
Testing before and after draught sealing shows how much difference the work made. It’s also useful when building or renovating to check the result.
